The Enlight Foundation is a private family foundation established in 2004 and based in Palo Alto, California. The foundation takes a metrics-driven, values-based and collaborative approach to philanthropy. In addition to looking for organizations with a strong team, proven track record and sound financials, we place a premium on those that embrace cross-organizational partnerships as a way to accelerate learning, achieve scale, gain efficiencies, and increase collective impact.
Enlight supports organizations that prepare the world’s youth to seize the opportunities and meet the challenges of our increasingly complex, interconnected and interdependent world. We do this by supporting programs that 1) train and empower youth as social entrepreneurs and changemakers; 2) provide advanced education opportunities for underserved populations; and 3) strengthen rural communities through early education initiatives to alleviate rural poverty.
